Elgin 1951 model 20, only 12000 were produced in 51

Someone had good taste on how they chose the dial and a sub second hand that is rarely used. Has the Railrod look without the shockmaster price. The dial is nice with logo under Elgin. This is a size 16s 17jewels Factory timed and cased cased, and I believe all original as the other listings are, also. This 616 runs great and I will put it on timegrapher out of curiosity. It has some tough competition I keep with certain pieces. The crystal looks original and there’s no burn through on the gold filled case. This was manufactured in 1951,the end of the pocket watch era. People took to wearing wrist watches. And it hasnt changed since. They sold 1200 in 51 and run numbers declined to 61000 total. In the fifties that number is dismall. I like all the watches in this batch. More on the way
